Halifax Stanfield International Airport is located in Enfield, Nova Scotia, Canada. It serves the Halifax Regional Municipality and central Nova Scotia, as well as adjacent areas. The airport also contains the headquarters for Air Canada Jazz and CanJet airlines.
Following the September 11, 2001 attacks on the US, Halifax Airport was part of Operation Yellow Ribbon, allowing 40 diverted flights to land. The main reason Halifax was so involved was that the flights, many from Europe, were told to avoid the major airports in Toronto and Montreal.
Airlines using Halifax Stanfield International Airport include:
Air Canada Jazz
Thomas Cook Airlines
